I’m heading to Las Vegas today for work and I’ll be there for an entire week. Sounds terrible right? Vegas…for SEVEN DAYS. I won’t be working the entire time, but still. Vegas is definitely a 48 hour spot. The first 4 days will be filled with talking to attendees at the conference and giving presentations so pretty jammed packed. The last part of the week will be all for fun which I’m really excited about! It’s still pretty hot in Vegas so we’re going to do some pools parties, maybe a hike and some of the famous clubs at night. Send recs my way if you have any!!
These long weeks really take a toll on my body so I’ve made a list of everything we need to remember to stay healthy during long trips like this…especially in Vegas. Sounds impossible, but here’s everything on my list.
HOW TO STAY HEALTHY WHILE TRAVELING FOR WORK
1 // Sleep! Sleep is one of the most important things we can do for our body and well being. If I don’t sleep, I’m not on top of things the next day. We need to remember that sleeping is as important as anything we do for ourselves so make sure you block enough time every night while you’re traveling. Jet lag can also play a role in this. Las Vegas is a 5 hour plane ride and 3 hour time difference. That’s a lot when we have to start working the minute we land.
2 // Eat your veggies. While we’re traveling it can be easy to get distracted by quick foods and carbs to keep us going but nutrition is going to be key. I definitely realize when I haven’t been eating enough fruits and veggies because I’ll start to become sluggish, my brain get’s foggy and my skin begins to break out. I don’t want any of this to happen during this week!
3 // Stay hydrated inside…and outside! I need to remind myself to drink water, water and more water to keep myself hydrated on the inside. For the outside I use Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray. It’s made with aloe, herbs and rosewater to set makeup, soothe skin in dehydrating conditions and give our skin a quick boost mid-workday. This spray is a lifesaver!
I got mine from the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Event and it was more than 50% off. This annual sale event from Ulta is almost over because it only happens through September. Check this calendar out to find out what else is going on sale this month. Don’t miss out!
I’ll also be taking a break from the blog this week to focus primarily on work. I’ll be back next week with some great content! Bye, for now!
