You definitely already know this if you’re a follower on Instagram or TikTok, but just wanted to document it here too…I moved! Don’t worry, not leaving NYC any time soon. But I am able to call myself Greenwich Village’s newest resident ☺️
To back up a bit, I moved a little over a year ago with my roommate to a new area of the city. A week later we both went home with no plans to return in the near future. I came back around mid-May to an empty apartment that never fully felt like home. With the falling rent prices, spending more time at home, and wanting to take that next step in my life…I knew it was time to live on my own when my lease was up this year.
I feel so lucky to be able to live on my own at this stage of my life. Something I didn’t think I’d be able to do until much later while living in one of the most expensive cities in the world. I found a charming studio in the heart of Greenwich Village, about a block from Washington Square Park. I still pinch myself in the morning when I head out for errands or a walk and pass the Washington Arch. Or heading home at night and seeing it lit up in the background. It’s truly a picturesque view.
I’ve been getting into some minor (can only go so far with the size of my place) interior decorating which has been so much fun to do lately. Planning on documenting the furnished apartment once I have a couple more pieces of furniture ordered but you can see the empty apartment tour in my moving vlog. Will be here swooning over my own apartment in the meantime. Don’t miss the picture of the fireplace below!
