Thank you so much for all the support after last weeks announcement. It’s been a crazy week of tie dying and putting together packages. The first few waves of shipments are on their way to customers and I can’t wait to see how they look! We’ve raised over $300 so far for COVID-19 relief charities and new orders are coming in everyday. Don’t forget to share with friends and family wanting to also give back.
Retail therapy is something that’s been helping me through this weird time. While my online shopping habits now are not that much different than pre-pandemic time (sigh), I’m finding more of an excuse to purchase from brands that are doing good. Justifying my purchases even more.
While I’m focusing more on purchasing through smaller, independent brands, some larger brands are also doing good by shifting their manufacturing to creating masks instead of traditional garments. If you’re in the mood for a little mid-week retail therapy, here are some brands and retailers doing good and giving back with every purchase.
Allbirds // The sustainable shoe company is donating over $500,000 works of shoes to healthcare works around the country.
Aritzia // One of my favorite brands for everything from loungewear to workwear is donating a large portion of sales to the Aritzia Community™ Relief Fund. They’re at over $6 million right now!
Corkcirle // You can purchase through their website and enter your local Corkcirle retailer at checkout. The proceeds from the sale will benefit that smaller retailer.
Everlane // 100% of the proceeds from the Human collection will benefit Feeding America.
Fabletics // One of my favorite activewear companies is donating $5 from every purchase to creating great for frontline workers.
Greats // The classic shoe brand is donating $15 of each shoe purchase to City Harvest. They are also giving you 25% off!
Law of Motion // A NYC based workwear company is switching their manufacturing to creating medical gowns and masks. They call it the “Hero Robe”.
L’occitane // One of my favorite skincare brands is now producing hand sanitizer and donating proceeds to healthcare workers in France.
Nordstrom // The retail giant, highly known for their customer service in alterations, is redirecting their alterations specialists to producing masks.
Modern Citizen // One of my favorite brands to get everyday staples is donating $20 from every purchase over $150 to Feeding America.
